The case of Melinda Duckett, who committed suicide the day after being interviewed by Nancy Grace.
Melinda killed herself because she felt had not managed to protect her son against an abusive father and his associates.
The abuse she got from Nancy was the last straw, pushing her over the edge.
This seems the probable explanation without studying the evidence in any detail.
Google search for “Laurie Konnerth” ( who managed to suppress discussion “When I saw that no family member or friend was speaking up for Melinda, and when I had a “defending Melinda” thread on Websleuths which was shut down by a handful of people led by Laurie Konnerth, the lone signatory of the Trenton Duckett Family Trust Fund” from about link above )
Google search for “laurie konnerth carla massero” Shows link from Konnerth to associates of father.
Nancy Eubank, Duckett’s grandmother, who lives in Lady Lake but who was not party to the lawsuit, said she was not altogether consoled by the outcome of the lawsuit. “I wish that Nancy Grace would be taken off the air, totally and completely, because she just destroys people,” said Eubank, who said she had been listening on the other line as her granddaughter was interviewed by Grace in 2006.
“This case will never be put to rest in my heart, because my granddaughter is dead, and little Trenton, I have no idea where he is,” she added. “My granddaughter did not kill him.”
I need to understand who the relations are in this case – Melinda was adopted?
What’s true of course is that Grace did not intend harm – nevertheless, this woman is dangerous and stupid, ruins innocent lives and should not be on air, why are CNN defending her?
CNN and HLN are both part of Time Warner.
Is the real scandal the cover up?
“I believe that Kathleen Calvert will be able to manage this trust well,” Josh Duckett said. “I do not want this settlement to cause chaos and unscrupulous people asking for money because they are supposedly searching for Trenton. This money should go to legitimeate search purposes such as law enforcement and the family following up on leads. We receive numerous tips every month.”
Who was abusing Melinda…? Need to go and check this.
<<Respondent (Melinda) received a violent and threatening email stating that Joshua would “hunt my son and I down” and that he will “bury my son with me”, using any means to get there.” These threats may have stemmed from recently delivered divorce papers or reminders from the Dep of Revenue for unpaid child support…>>
Right, so there you have the #1 suspect, but what can be proved?
Hmm… right. So the $200,000 was to keep this out of court…
That’s a lot of money Nancy if you did nothing wrong.
